'96 911 993 with 37000 miles - I purchased it!!
Hello,
Any thoughts on value of a '96 911 cabriolet in Aventurine green with 37,000 miles. Two owner car. Looks to be in good condition. Very original with exception of a new top in beige instead of stock black (and of course new radio). Very minor paint chips and one small ding in driver's door. All electrical and guages seem to work. Mechanical seems very good (but no PPI yet to verify). Most importantly, very fun to drive. I really like the green but hear that others are not a big fan. Please let me know what you think. I'm seriously thinking about this one. Thanks! Last edited by p911enthusiast; 10-20-2012 at 05:09 PM.. |

If everything checks out with a PPI and the CarFax is 100% clean, then I'd say it has a value of approximately $32,000 +/-. The color makes resale a bit difficult. The more options the better.
I've been looking for a clean accident free 993 Cab for a while, but I've been looking for Iris, Ocean or Zenith Blue. |

Considering the low miles I'd go with 35k. I love the Adventurine Green. Had the pleasure to ride in one a month ago. It's what I'd call a bonus color. It changes in different lights. A lot like midnight blue in that respect. 2 cars for the price of 1. I'd say pull the trigger (assuming its in that price range) with a acceptable ppi, of course). Those low miles are going to help you sell it too. With a lot of cars in the 80k miles dropping to $30k and 100k+ dropping to $25k that is something to think about. You could drive 5k a year for the next 5 years and still have a crazy low mile 993.

If you look at 911s from 30-40 years ago, the unusual colors are the ones that are sought after now. Black, red, white and silver, while popular, are too common.

After much thought about whether purchasing this car would be practical and risk free, I realized it is very impractical and the car will likely develop issues in the future.
So, I purchased it today. It's a hell of a lot fun to drive. I can't wait to drive it some more. Thanks for everyone's input. |
