What is this thing?

1983 Porsche 911

Never seen anything like it, and not sure what to make of it.

Do a Google Images search for Porsche GT1. The ad tells you what it is - a GT1 body kit over a 911SC. Here's some incentive - there is a picture of a flat chested bikini model with this exact same car in the Google Image search.

It would be interesting to see the front and if they used Porsche Boxster headlights for the GT1 look. I suspect there is a valid reason why they don't show you the front though... probably ugly.

This is an article about a similar car except its a 1997. Seems to me an ad for a car this unusual would be a lot longer on details and photos.

Or maybe like you said its just ugly up front.

There is nothing similar to the car in the article you link. One is real and one is a replica built on a chassis 15 years older.
