Too bad they used a picture of two 964s and not the Carrera 3.2s that the article is actually about

Other than that the numbers in there seem a bit bonkers. $5K/year for maintenance? Dunno.

'89 Carrera 4s are '89 911s (just like 2013 "911s" are 911s).

You're right, but the first Carrera 4's were a late '89 model (say "1989.5") and are not part of the the '84-'89 "Carrera 3.2" generation under discussion in the article.
