$52k. For a mid-year?

The pipe.

Put it down.

I have a numbers matching, lime green '75 - wouldn't sell mine for that price.

I spoke with the seller of a 75 Carrera last summer, black paint with gold trim with black interior, car had 52,000 miles.

Claimed to be an original paint and mileage car for $29k, the issue was he (seller) indicated he purchased the car from an estate (owner passed away) and they couldn't find any documentation on the car, no service history and no way to support mileage.

I was concerned about the story being accurate and walked away, maybe a bad idea?

Very nice looking car.

Isn't the 1974 Carrara worth more then the 1975. I know a red one that they want $45,000 with a new paint job and seats. One owner, but no longer original paint. I thought $30,000 is more normal for these cars, yes?

I have looked at a couple of these it does appear they are still a mixed bag as to value and there are ten of them currently on the market; ranging $30K to $52K.

Plus, I know of another 75 coupe for $37.5K and another possibly available that needs total reconstruction. These remind me of the RSA scramble one day a blackhaired stepchild next a modern day hero.....

I don't there is any significant value differences between '74 and '75 Carreras.
You certainly don't see many '74's offered up though. The think with '75 Carreras is you have to verify they are legit. Simple to do with a VIN. Alot of folks offer up Carreras but they are just 911S's instead welded up.

Good, solid running cars will surpass the $30,000 all day. Heck, I have a 1974 911 (straight) in great shape, numbers matching that I am looking to see if I can get $25,000 for. The folkks in Germany will pay $40,000 for it I am told from my sources.

No please I couldn't take it... but I must say bwall, that was hilarious. Looks like they're on to you Eric, at least you can smile about it, all in good fun.

Mike, folks who take themselves too seriously are bombs waiting to go off.

I have my quirks, but man, if you can't laugh at yourself and your foibles, what kind of life would that be? Miserable, I imagine.

It's all good.
