Opinion on 993 i am looking at

Hello,

I am currently looking to purchase a 993, and noticed an ad from Momentum BMW/Mini

Used 1996 Porsche 911 2dr Cpe Carrera 4 For Sale | Houston TX

It appears to me that panels on this car differ in color, even though carfax does not show any accidents...

Could be the light, my eyes, or bad pictures, but It really seems like passenger side of the car, and front bumper is of brighter color...

It does look like some of the panels have some fade to them and others do not.

My 993 has some paint work, I found it when I first laid eyes on the car (before purchase). I'm fine with it, it's a great car in all other regards. However, the Carfax shows a clean, accident free car. I think Carfax is pretty useless and has probably caused more headaches than anything else in the car buying process.

Repaint on bumper and hood OR right fender...could be ok. Gaps seem ok...Good looking car - red will be big soon on the vintage cars!

BUT pictures are two faced. EDIT...deleted comment that offended other posters.

EDIT: Left fender and hood shine the same. But bumper and right fender live their own life. Probably front end damage car. If it was no a no hit car it would be cheap!

Paint on the hood looks pretty oxidized to me. Could have had the fender painted due to clear coat peeling if it has been out in the sun. My uncle did something similar with his red 928. Painted bumper/fender due to clear. Only ever really matched if the car was well polished. I can't decide if the right door looks repainted or not. If the right door AND fender are repainted I might be wary. If it is just a paint issue I would say the price is taking it into consideration.

Update: Just off the phone with the dealer... He does admit that panels are of different color indeed. It was not the dealership who painted it though, so they had no clue about the damage. He also mentioned that car needs air pump, and they took the deposit for the car already...
