I am currently in the process of front seat leather replacement.I have found seat covers for about $800. They would not match exactly but would be close.Or can my existing be repaired? TIA Dave

I'd say those are a little too far gone to repair. Is the $800 for both seats or just one? Seems high for a single seat.

Unless you are stuck with sentimental value concerning the old seats, put out a feeler for used ones in the parts section. You may be surprised and even find the correct year. There were lots of 87's made, so chances of finding some nice seats are pretty good.

That is for both seats.Pelican has covers that they claim are a real close match but are pricey at $1400.That drivers seat is much worse than the passenger seat(as usual)I really don't care for the black insert in the front of the seats but pretty sure it is original.

Mmmmmm .... the very odd grey green color. One of my favorite all time Porsche interiors.

Yes, sometimes it is better to 'bite the bullet' so to speak to save valuable time in tracking down clean ones, shipping them, and then making sure you got what you paid for. It could take months, and probably at least $600 when you are done. Might be better to get them done and then you will know you are starting from a clean slate, have the color you want...even clean used ones have leather that is over 25 years old...

Thanks for all the help.Unobtanium I really like the color,I said odd because I hadn't seen it before and I don't know what it's called.I have the original window sticker it says LTHR/LTHTTE BELT GREY GREEN and was a $1412.00 option.I'm not even sure if I have sport or standard seats.Pelican claims they will match your seats but don't have this color listed.Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.
