78 SC on "cars for sale"
So Daniel has a husband - and he just gave 5-10K away????
Is the ad a joke? I think (hope) so. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/768611-1978-porsche-911-sc-targa.html |

Yeah......I find it a bit odd. Look at Daniels other posts. He sure has a lot of time to write about all sorts of things. But does not have enough time to sell his 911!?
I am very excited to see how this deal ends - buyer if you read this, please tell us about the car after you pick up the car - it seems like a steal not seen much better since Dgritz bought the green 78. |

Which flipper bought it and how soon will it show up in the cars for sale section again or on eBay for 16 grand?
I don't begrudge the flipper but that was ridiculous and had I looked earlier today I would have bought it.

Nope, he was over at the 912 board asking for advice. Thought that was what he was looking for......
Did you notice that many threads started by him are now deleted. Both the ones about the green targa and my advice concerning the 912 - "Strange". Last edited by christiandk; 08-30-2013 at 10:11 AM.. |

Not strange. Just hiding the evidence.

Nothing strange or "hiding of evidence" guys....Really.
The 911 refurb continues at a nice clip, with the replacement 3.0 engine arriving later next week. It's not really my chosen color but I'm having fun & doing right by the car getting it back on the road after 10+ years. I am glad I posted an inquiries regarding a seemingly cool 912 in N. Colorado. Another Pelican replied that it is one of many owned by an odd guy up in Wyoming who puts cars for sale but never sells. His rep is for being a bit nuts, has been really unpleasant here, and that as a general practice now posts regarding him are deleted. I did not know that at the time...Griz

Of course not. Absolutely, I believe you. But deleting posts in forums on the internet is a funny thing. What might seem gone, really isn't. So, at some time in the future, your olive targa story just might resurface. Of course, your weird connection between the Wyoming cars and your own posts makes a ton of sense. Not. The weird collector in Wyoming had nothing to do with the olive targa. And he sure as heck can't delete what *you* post. But hey, if you want to hope that folks will let that flip slide down the memory hole, good luck to you. Last edited by SilberUrS6; 08-30-2013 at 09:50 PM.. |

Deserving of your nickname, Eric.
![]() I don't think that one can delete a post here on Pelican - only a moderator. Call Oliver Stone...the conspiracies are everywhere - if you just go looking for them!

Going out on a limb here, but thinking this is the car that started this thread
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/769103-1978-targa-silver-14-5k.html Both in NY. Same year, targas, silver, engine work. Could be wrong |

I'm one of those reviled flippers despised by Eric. (Does parting cars count as flipping? I do that too - currently parting an '84 Carrera...). Earlier this year though, I guess I got "beaten at my own game": http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/744117-1976-911s-targa.html This sold in minutes, and I was absolutely buried in offers to buy, sight-unseen. Guess I priced it way too low, although I thought the price was fair. Nonetheless, I sold it at asking price to the European buyer. I wished him well and asked him to stay in touch, even though he is an evil flipper.

Yet another person with reading comprehension problems.
Oh, well. Folks often believe what they want to believe, which is why so many folks still believe that Elvis is alive... |
