Which color yellow? There are quite a few of them.

I'm not aware of any "factory polished Fuchs option" but paint to sample is a big value boost. I'm thinking PushingMyLuck is right on the market pricing.

Polished Fuchs were available from the "Special Wishes" department in the later 80s. Whether that department existed in '84 is another question.

Paint to sample COULD be a big boost. But if the color is really garish, or really muted, it could be a potential negative or no net gain or loss.

The condition of the car might also make a difference. A very clean car with low miles, and great interior/paint, with all records might command a larger price, even with the targa negative.

The option codes on the car are euro delivery, polished alloys, and the paint to sample paint code. The car was driven for a month in Europe before being shipped back to the U.S. It was actually serviced twice in Europe , two stamps in the maint booklet are from a German dealer.

Agreed. "Speed Yellow" and similar colors don't do much for me.

A pastel or "prim rose" yellow would give it a nice vintage look, and I think could be a pretty good plus to the right buyer.
