76 TC Value...

...a loaded question to be sure.

With less than 500 imported here, another question might be "How many are left in the US?. Half? and then how many are still intact, original and running?

It will be fun to watch with the Parade in Monterey next year?

Early turbo prices...

OK then, except for auction sales, when was the last time you saw one listed for sale?

...how much coverage would be appropriate to cover replacement costs? $100K?

Hmm, 100k+ seems a little high.
In Australia p-cars cost about 20% more than in the US & at the moment there is a 'pre-production' 1975 3.0L Turbo for sale for $89,000 (There are only 2 in the country apparently).
It was a custom order by then F1 Champion Alan Jones & is all original.
If it's 89k here I would think it would be about 70k in the US.

I assume this is the car:

1975 Porsche 930 Turbo

It is not all original.
Interior is heavily altered, mirrors, wheels and exhaust are wrong for a 75, and sunroof seal seams to be missing.

But, if the thing is a genuine 75 and has no serious issues (or is a scam) it looks like a very good deal.

Yep, that's the one.
Apparently the wheels were an option the original purchaser had chosen.
I can't comment on anything else other than it is all pretty minor stuff & could be returned to stock for minimal cost.
It's not like the engine has been replaced or anything like that.

The '75 car is a right hand drive.

I don't think we can use its price as a guide for a '75 930.
Left hand drive, it would be 2 or 3 times its price.

Its the deal of the year for 60k? I agree these cars are rare and appreciating at a staggering rate but I know of a '75 and '77 that both sold for under 40k this year. Agreed, they weren't 45k mile cars. This went on and off Ebay very quickly and really didn't have enough info to ascertain its true value. BTW 914agogo how's your '76 930? Would love to see some new pics.

That peru 76 is an exact duplicate of my car, matching interior and all. I will be selling my other 76 soon. I am am very hesitant to set a price for it , as I have no idea where the ceiling is.
