28.5k for this SC?
and 58k miles....yeah, maybe on the new speedometre.
The genius didnt even bother to remove the rubber plug for the wiring on the rear bumper before painting it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/791236-1980-911sc-restored-low-miles-california-original.html Beginning to think that I sold my perfect caramel brown SC way to cheap...... Why how much did you sell it for ?
I agree its the lack of attention to detail coupled with the asking price that made me choke on my coffee this AM. **Just as an FYI tho I think you might need to do a spell check so your post doesn't get labelled ironic ... Last edited by sm70911; 01-11-2014 at 01:28 PM.. |

Sold it for 32k euros. Could probably have fetched more come springtime. But needed the space and the cash......

Brown cars seem to be hot hot hot lately. This one looks very nice, although the white gauges aren't my cup of tea. Asking price is maybe a bit ambitious, but if mileage and work are documented, it's in line with dealer prices for low mileage SCs in SoCal these days. I did an Autotrader search a couple of weeks ago and found that asking prices have really ratcheted up from a year ago. Askin' ain't gettin', but asking prices don't rise if cars aren't selling. It will be interesting to see what happens with this one.

Thing is that the caramel brown is more special than the otherbrowns, imo. It is actually more orange than brown. Very nice color.

Lots of old Porsches have gone across the pond which only pushes prices higher here. I doubt the cars will ever come back.

The market seems to have found its place by now. There is not much upside in buying the cars in US now if you factor in the risk, import duties and all.Bought my 912 in Holland from a big importer.

I take that your remark is meant ironically!?
If so would you advise a friend to buy a car IF your experince told you that the car was not worth the money and that it was misrepresented? EDIT...get it now "genious" - I am a bit slow after a long day at work, sorry. Last edited by christiandk; 01-14-2014 at 07:22 AM.. |
