1977 Carrera 3.0 8"9
1977 Porsche 911 911 Carrera 3.0
"Carrera 3.0" European Mkt Private Import, 56k Orig. Documented Miles, Cabriolet All books/receipts/records since new. 30-Day Warranty!! eBay item number: 231187953488 Seller: goldenrulefan US $34,800.00 Hello usa0815, Ah, you would be absolutely correct if you were not, of course, in this case completely wrong. For the original Cardex ((used to build the CoA) and an embossed letter from Porsche in Stuttgart, Western Deutschland indicate the car has a special order top...of course Porsche AG wouldn't make a unique VIN range change for a special order fitment would they? Of course not. Regardless Herr Helmut, are you interested in making an offer or buying or are you just having fun with the keyboard giving advice? Surely you are a busier man than that who values his time greater than that, right? - goldenrulefan |

That guy is full of baloney. No FACTORY convertible 911s until model year ´83 - but it would be interesting to see the letter from Porsche AG.
According to the reasoning of this genius Porsche would have all the special parts for the production of a convertible AND used these parts on a very limited special production 5 years prior to the upstart of model year ´83? The legal term for an ad like this is "fraud", imo. Last edited by christiandk; 04-03-2014 at 03:10 AM.. |

Christian,
thanks for your comment. Think you are absolutely right. Please read his XXXL long description of the car on ebay. He tried to convince me, that I (I !) am wrong! Have a look at the wrong factory sticker on the driver`s side door B-post. This is not a factory sticker as far as I know them from other Porsches. Best/Hel |

The speedo should tell you everything you need to know on that one.

This guy is in Florida - and a scam artist. Trust me I bought a car from him. I bought my '74 from him on eBay and he said the floors were fine, video taped them and photographed them 100 times, and when I got the car I went through the front floor when I was unloading it off the shipper's truck - in 2 seconds.
Another guy bought a car from him the same time I did that he said was factory flared, and was a complete snow job - a steel fender conversion. It was a mess for this guy, as he paid big $$$ for it. I have no idea how that went, but stay away from this guy. He makes trumped up, hysterical charges on factory specials that never and don't exist. He's out of his mind. Sometimes he has cheap 911's, but no way would I buy from him unless I saw it in person. Period. Last edited by CountD; 04-03-2014 at 02:31 PM.. |

This guy is full of BS!!!Buyer Beware!! I asked for the engine number and transmission number when he first listed it on E-Bay. I asked several times for that information and he told me that he was too busy to get it and just assume it was not what I was looking for. He might have a Carrera 3 VIN, but I doubt very seriously he as the correct engine or he would have made it known by now!!!
