Value of 1986 Coupe
I recently looked at a family friend's 86 Coupe he wants to sell. The car is currently not listed anywhere and doesn't have an asking price (best offer).
The car has almost 150k miles. It's black, and parts of the exterior have been painted due to sun fade. The dash top is cracked and will need to be replaced, and the top of the steering wheel also has sun damage, and will need to be replaced. The car has sport seats, whale tail, fuchs, and possibly limited slip diff. There aren't any service records, just a few receipts. The car drove well, didn't appear to smoke or leak. There was no grinding in the gearbox. AC doesn't work. I have no photos yet, no compression/leak down numbers either. What's a fair offer for the car? Thanks |

$21,574 if I had to guess blind.
As more details emerge, adjust accordingly. But, my initial estimate will not be far off the mark. |

Looks like my estimate is nearly perfect. Again.

If the dash and steering wheel are toast, what's the rest of the interior look like? What's the quality of the respray?
If everything 'looks good', cosmetically, maybe low $20's. If the whole car needs to be gone over, due to sun damage, I wouldn't go more than $17k. That's also taking the AC into consideration.
