Porsche 912 912E | eBay

Would need an other exhaust - but looks nice from the pictures.

Wow -- hard to find two closer com parables of a car this old.

Same year, same color exterior & interior, same mileage +/- a couple of k.

Scuffed up front valance, and it looks like he cleaned the gauges with a green scratch pad. But pretty straight otherwise.

Wonder what it will go for, if at all.

Christian,
I know you are an originality stickler but the exhaust is a very common cost effective solution to thermal reactor problems. Good original TRs are thousands of bucks these days. Getting a bypass pipe and after market muffler can save a lot of money on the repairs.
Though that muffler was also a common in period mod just for sound and looks. My '67 carries one. It does have a good sound.

I know Matt. Mine is fitted with a Bursch. But I bought a new original, only 8 left at the factory. Considered buying them all, but that would not be very nice to the rest of the E community......

Another nice looking 912E with a heartbreak of a story...

Here is a nice one at a fair price.

One of my favourite colors for a middie. Looks like the paint is slipping though. Mine has a pinch of that problem too.

This is one of a few 912e with sport seats,Nice car should have no problem selling.

CalE 09-10-2014 08:53 AM

Christian,
Looks like your car? I haven't seen that many 912e for sale lately, starting to become harder to find and prices on the rise, low production numbers, I see value in these nimble P-cars. Just my .02 cents

Yeah, my E is also talbot and 99% original. Nice car. And I am even beginning to not hate the engine so much. You just have to know how to drive it, and cornering and balance is so much better than in the 911s.

Yup, that is indeed a flip.

Hi

Here is mine, Bitter Chocolate color

132k miles, tan interior. Should I paint or sell, I have $10,000 in the car, daily driver.
Mine has all CA smog still in place. 29mpg, always starts, runs good.

I could see that car in new paint as being a stunning example of both the car and the time period. I think that with current pricing, you'd be upside down on the car for some short amount of time, but if the current trend continues, the value will exceed the input costs within a couple of years.

Not only that, but I think you'd have a car that you'd want to drive more - and that is the best reason to do it.

Paint and drive, 29 mpg the 2.0L is bullet proof whats not to like. I personaly would lose the mirrors and replace with original flag style mirror driverside only.

It didn't, being a quick flip, the seller bought it, got a signed but undated title in the previous owners name, and will resell it without it ever being registered (subject to smog).
