Nice looking 912E

No affiliation, and it is definitely not much of an ad -- but this is a pretty attractive looking car. Pretty stock apart from head unit, speakers, and Coco mats. Has steelies and hubcaps.

Interesting color, 148k miles, and looks very clean from the limited pictures.

$17.5k

1976 Porsche 912E

Christian,
You really think so? Color and condition look good but the miles? I would think he's over the mark by several thousand dollars. Though maybe I've lost touch with the 12E market.

Matt, I may be colored on this subject since my E is also yellow, but compared to what has been for sale recently it seems to be priced fairly.

Good color and from the pictures it seems to be well maintained inside and out?

What would a similar yellow S cost? A couple of grand more?

Thumbs up Very nice find!

Love the steelies with hubcaps. Price is right in line with the current market. Of course I am bias...

I know this car, it recently sold for significantly less, has an RMS issue, history of overheating and minor wiring issues, otherwise very nice.

Funny actually, my E takes forever to get warm...but We live in a not so hot climate. RMS is 10 bucks and 5 hours to fix if you dont go.....while you are in there.

Most nice original E 's go for around 20k nowadays.

Kermit moved to the east coast from Arizona.

Living in AZ Kermit had two external oil coolers added to his underbelly. He runs very cool here in New England. "E"'s are great cars, I find mine more enjoyable to toss around then my 911

It's a nice car. I'd love it with silver-painted steelies (no hub caps) or cookie-cutters.

Seems priced about right, too.

I want the color code since pictures can be deceiving. If it were sunflower aka limonen gelb I might be interested. Kind of have a thing ...

In the pics it looks like it could either be yellow or sahara beige.

Haven't seen the car in person, but it is five minutes away -- if you are seriously interested Matt, and clear it with the seller, I'd be happy to go take a look for you.

It is Light Yellow or 106 Talbot like mine...I bet on Talbot. But no sunflower in 76.

Edit...link to facts.

Production colors and actual color vary. My '86 is sunflower, but that's a '74 color. It also shows two color codes, one of which is light yellow. But the car clearly has the green in it that limonen suggests.

My Bumble Bee on the other hand has no hint of green.

There are inconsistencies to their paint.

As far as I recall Sunflower was 87 and 88 only..but of course if you pay up there is no limit.

The more I look at that E it looks Beige. But pictures are tricky.

My '86 was paint to order. My research suggests there are maybe 2-3 dozen in '86 including 930s and 491s.

Already been done, still leaks!

Here are a few close up of the color, it is a very nice repaint but I cannot tell you if it is a factory color.

Very nice car but it has some issues.
