Perhaps the red fan blades (aka Motorscheister rebuild) scared away potential buyers...

There are still bargains out there. Even if I had to spend $10k on a bare bones engine "inspection" $25k is giving that car away.

Looks like the car was a labor of love. Put a lot of work into it, and he wasn't greedy. Hopefully it goes to a good home.

Probably not.

The car will either get a good detailing, new pictures and a pricetag of 40k plus or a back to original restoration and a pricetag of 60k+.

My money is on the first option, though.

Auction ended Sold for more than bid

I contacted the seller, was looking for close to 35K or more I see it ended, I would have spent the 35K and done it back to Gulf blue to match my 73

Guess 40K

I'm the new owner and will not be "flipping it" the car will be returned to it's original, gulf blue specs and will be driven and enjoyed. I'm sure I'll have far more in it in the short term then it will be worth and don't really care. Really great, realistic seller, lots of little issues but a perfect drive and restore candidate. The car sold for a little more than the price shown on eBay but still very fair. Can't wait to get it! Cheers, Mark-Seattle

New carrera targa owner

Hah, will do when I get it, will be a few weeks. I passed on a 1974 carrera coupe in gulf blue a dozen years ago and have always regretted it. Really excited about dialing it in, think I'm going to have Jeff @ Rothsport rebuild the engine with MFI or PMOs, etc. to give it some proper power. It will look bone stock with mechanical upgrades to be driven. Mark
