Value of high mileage but clean 911SC Targa

Hi all. I have my eye on a car. It's a very clean 1982 911SC targa, no rust, no damage history and nice looking, but 300,000 miles. It looks like a car that's been really well cared for, but driven a lot of miles. The engine has been rebuilt and it's just been serviced. How much is such a car worth? Will it's value drop, or is it expected to remain stable or increase? Should the high mileage be a deal killer, or is it really of no consequence? Thanks for your advice!

Rear has been hit. There are no rebuild records for the engine done in 02. The rear lid doesn't fit we'll.

It is is a champagne color. Maybe platinum. How do you know it was hit in the rear? If it's the same car, what is it worth? Less than $20k?

It is hard to imagine any stock SC with over 300k being worth much more than $15-18k. Even with a rebuilt engine.

There are just too many better cars available for them to get to $20k at this point in time.

Unless the day comes where the prices of these cars justify nut & bolt level restorations (pretty unlikely in the foreseeable future) -- there is a pretty firm price ceiling on super-high mileage cars.

Drive it a million verified miles though, and it might gain a value bump just for the bragging rights.
