72 911s MFI case value
I've been considering the possibility of selling my 1972 S MFI case. Would appreciate the vast knowledge here of potential value. I've read the various posts about finding the original car owner and high value to that person. However, that narrow lane aside, what would be the value for a period correct case for a 1972 911 S owner needing something like this?
I'll post the numbers for reference... 6321711 911/53 Case halves match..05/77 each side 901 101 101 5R 901 101 102 4R Thanks in advance! |

Although you may have already done this, you can get the VIN# of the car it goes with from Porsche for no charge. You do not need to purchase a COA, they will give you the info verbally for free.
Just call the 800 number and speak to concierge. Pretty sure it will work, definitely does for getting info on your own car. Then you can google the VIN as well as post it on the S registry as well as here, good chance you find the person who is dying for it. Sorry that I don't know the value of it as a raw case. |

Some that have been on offer most recently were in the $3500-$5K range ...

If the case is apart, Make sure to add money for a line bore. ($1200-1500). Mag cases warp over time.

The case is still intact. It's a long block presently. Good to know for future reference.
