Well below market 89 3.2
Assuming it has the service records to back up the mileage claim.
Seen similar cars going for $40k+ in the last few months: 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera |

His/Her phone probably melted from all the calls simply stating "I'll take it. Where should I wire the money".

For real, $30k is really crazy low for that? It does look like a good car.

If it needs a top end, it's still a bargain as long as the body represents like it does in photos.

A flipper will get this car and put it up for $45k after they spend $200 with their detailer greasing it all up for pics...

Probably sold by now....nice clean car from the pics. But why on earth would it need a top end? With that logic it might also need a new tranny, new shocks, seats to be upholstered and so on.
I dont get the "top end problems" that some write about when it comes to relatively low mls 3.2s. I guees it is just one of these internet bugs that some fall for......Like the airbox of the SC WILL explode if you dont install a pop off and the head studs WILL snap if you dont take the engine apart....now! I didn't 'fall' for anything, the car was burning oil. Some Porsche engines have small flaws, just like some humans. For example you have some people who think before they speak and others who don't ... |

I think it's a fairly well known weakness on these engines that can occur.
My guides were gone at 75k, same with 2 other friends who have '87s and my mother's '89! I'm sure there are many out there that didn't need this work, but I never understood this bulletproof engine description as all the cars I have known personally have needed top end work to replace the valve guides. But that just my experience, and maybe it's just sheer coincidence. Would be interesting if there was any real data on this.
