Thanks for the input. Let me reset the scenario. I just purchased a stunning 83 SC coupe in Grand Prix white with Can Can red leather. It has 80,000 original miles, has had Carrera chain tensioners, updated head studs, pop off box, and other necessary updates. Passed a PPI with great results. The only "issue" for me was the fact that the car was repainted several years ago in the same original color. It was done to a very high standard.
So my question is this: knowing that the car was repainted, what does this do to current value? How will this be perceived down the road by potential future buyers?
Thanks,
"Knowing" it was repainted and "observing" it was repainted constitutes the difference. If a knowledgeable observer can't tell it was repainted, it's no negative and possible positive adjustment. Readily detectable repaints bring value down.

Great. Thanks for your thoughts. Paint job was exceptional.
