84' TL Clone value?

Just wanting to know what this car is worth. I've had it for about 20 years. Steel flares metal finished, no plastic. Turbo brakes, rockers, front and rear spoiler, all factory. Full leather interior, rear seats, door panels, sport seats, everything except the dash. Running on turbo 7's and 8's from my 85' Factory TL. Car done about 18 years ago. Close to 200K miles now. Thinking of keeping the car and doing the 3.2 rebuild when it comes time but it's a daily driver for now. Or I can sell and take care of the other two P cars in the garage.
Thanks

Does the sale include the rose on the dashboard?

If it's as clean underneath as it is inside and out, today's wacky market will take it well beyond $30K from what i've seen. Throw the car on Bring A Trailer and the rabid fans will give you well into the $40K realm or more. I don't care if it has 200K on the clock.

Those dudes on BaT kill for super condition 911s. I predict bidders there would see this car as a "cheap" way to get a 930 w/out the 930 price of admission. Take a crapload of high quality pictures and supply endless documentation, and you've got yourself a bigtime winner to sell.

Definitely a car to sell on bat for best price. Some will rip on it. Ignore them. There will simultaneously be bidders who dig it and buy.

What am I missing? $30k to $40k for a non factory turbo look with 200k on the clock and no history of any engine or transmission work? Maybe if this were a true M491, or with a recently built hot rodded engine. I just don't see it. I think $30k is on the high end for a conversion with that kind of mileage on the drivetrain.

That said, I like the car. It looks well cared for which will help.

People are paying silly money for these cars lately. Doesn't have to be an original Turbo look to get $40k. The real TLs are getting WAY more money than that.

And why would you say no history. The guy's owned it for 20 years and I imagine he's got some sort of documentation to share.

The money people are willing to pay for these old 911s with minimal documentation, and not even pristine condition, is amazing. This one looks very well cared for inside and out at first glance.

Yep. Regular 84 Carreras are getting $30-40k, so why wouldn't this car be able to get into the same range? You find me a real TL in comparable condition to this car for $40k and I'll wire money over the weekend....

Based on the OP's post it sounded like the drivetrain was original, but maybe I misinterpreted. I've said it many times......but what else can be bought for $40k right now? I see a number of cars for $40k that are original and have much lower mileage. The engine would have to be refreshed for me to touch that car for anywhere near $40k. The market also seems to have softened for all but low mileage perfect collector cars. Cars are still bringing good money, but the frenzy isn't like it was a year or two ago.

I hope the OP gets $40k, it's a lovely car, but just seems like a far fetch to me.

Just to be clear, I think this car will easily sell for $30k and have to work for $40k. I don't think it's a $40k car if he listed it here. Here $40k would be around the ask, but not the sell. But on BaT it just takes 2 guys who want it. If you get that perfect storm $40k isn't a stretch, it's bidder frenzy.

My above comment was more in relation to genuine wide bodies. Those things are stupid money and way over $40k. Maybe you agree that it's dumb what they are selling for, but if you like the look, it makes this car a relative bargain.
