Value on 16x6/7 Fuchs - considering a swap
Just trying to determine a value to consider a swap of rims. See pic for style. Overall condition is very good. I could just swap the rears, but I have a complete set of 7/9s available and I'm considering a full swap. Thoughts on realistic value for these as a set??
Thanks. ![]()

Can't help on the value, but those on the car now look like 6&7s, not 7&8s. Are they polished, or chromed?

I think you guys are absolutely right and that they are 6s & 7s. The finish appears to be chrome, but overall condition is very good - dense blacks, crisp paint lines, nice shine, etc. Any thoughts on what this set might sell for? I'm just trying to determine if these are a 'dime a dozen' or have some desirability. Could/would sell with tires.
Any thoughts would be appreciated just to get an idea. Thanks.

Some desirability, yes. But less so if chromed. Fuchs will polish up very bright, just like a mirror, so check closely to verify if they are chrome or polished.

assuming that they are/have been chromed, what kind of value would you say they might have? i'm very close to pulling the trigger on replacements, so just curious. if too hard to say, i'll just have to test the waters once they're available.

Hard to say. Many people won't pay much for chromed ones, figuring that it'll cost $1k or more to strip and refinish when the chrome inevitably fails. If a good set in polished or original anodized finish is worth $1500 (thereabouts), a chrome set might only bring $600 or so. More if you get lucky and find a buyer who likes chrome and is willing to take a chance on them.
