I've seen that car. Although the entry price is pretty low, getting it up to spec might get costly. Repairs can add up pretty quick. I've been down the path your trying to take. I took ownership of a 928 when I was 19. Nearly broke me when a timing belt jumped and bent some valves. My Grandma got me back on the road. They are good cars. The only way I was able to afford the cost of ownership was to learn how to work on it. Get the shop manuals. The internet has a few very informational forums. Buy a car that is fairly solid to start. They are out there.
By the way, I still own that 928, some 28 years later. Great car! |

Just in case you guys are wondering, I ended up picking up a 944S for 3700. Has a few body problems but otherwise, a beautiful car.
