75 911s – part out or sell as whole?
75 911s – part out or sell as whole?
Hello All, I’m looking for some advice. I picked up two 911’s that I did not want in a ploy to buy the one I wanted. Two must go. Both are rollers. A 75 911s slant nose and a 83 911sc targa. The first one is a 1975 911s with a slant nose body kit. The body is in very presentable shape. Rims and tires should be worth a bit as well. What is sad about parting her out is she is virtually rust free! I’ve crawled all over this car and cannot find one spec of rust. One owner for the last 25 years and garage its life. Off the road since 2002. Clear Ca. title and registered as non-op so no back fees. The interior is beat up and will need some work but is all there. I do need to get some money out of this car to offset my cost. Ideally, I would really want it to go to someone that is looking for such a car and not part it out. I don’t need top dollar and would like to make it a “good deal” for the buyer. My problem is I have no idea how to fairly price her. Can I get some opinions please? Thanks in advance, Kevin ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Does the car have an engine and gearbox? Your description of what it is is a bit too vague.

I'd potentially be interested in the 75 roller. Suspecting that the body 'kit' is fiberglass. If in So Cal, I'd like to arrange to come see it.

Just to clarify the car is a roller. It is complete less motor and transmission.
Here is a link to a few more pictures: TheSamba.com :: VW Classifieds - 1975 Porsche 911s project - roller Thanks for any advice on value. K. |

Saw your ad in the samba and, Just my opinion here, I think you're price is off. The fact that it's been converted to a slant nose hurts it. Mid year cars are gaining some strength right now, but that only applies to it being a stock car. I would price that car, if it were all original, and as a roller, right at $5K. It's a good looking car, and the fact that its rust free helps, but the slant nose kit hurts it.
As far as the SC, some pics, and details would be needed before giving an opinion. |

I also would be interested in the roller, minus gearbox and engine. You could keep and sell all the slant nose parts if you wanted to remove them. Shoot me a pm with a direct email and I would like to talk. I have people I know in NorCal who could inspect the car on my behalf.
