There was a time when the 356 had little value. Styles change. However, as time moves on, you have to wonder if the collectability of these could be high.

You know, it does look gaudy. However, I find it attractive for what it is. I grew up reading Road & Track Exotic Cars and looked forward to every new issue that came out. I drooled over these tuner cars back then. Honestly, it wouldn't bother me to drive one now. It doesn't have the purity that I appreciate about the early 911s, but it has its place.


I like this one that was just for sale in the classifieds. It seemed like a very reasonable deal.

Kremer made a similar car back in the day. I owned this one for about 10 days. Bought it cheap 3000 miles away and while I was still looking for a trustworthy transporter, a buyer came along and I sold it. Never actually laid eyes on it.



Very much a 'car of the moment,' with lots of expensive work to reverse...
