quote "Wow, I think you picked the right house."
Wally - Real estate in Canada, in particular Toronto has defied gravity. The average detached house in TO is $1,000,000 now - which is insane. There was no housing price correction in 2009-2011 like US - although pretty much everyone agrees the market is pretty much overcooked. overdue. I figure Porsche built ~200,000 air cooled cars - I'm sure someone can weigh in with a more accurate number. Porsche claims 70% are still on the road today. It seems to me that the rising value of the 911 comes from so many people worldwide tuning in to forums like Pelican. Guys that never would have dreamed of working on an "exotic" like a Porsche read the posts and buy the cars. Pre internet, no way many people take this on. With prices of true collector cars jumping, all aircooled cars are benefiting. Only the high value of the US dollar will slow the rising price of clean, rust free US cars. For pricing example, there are now 1 million millionaires in China. Those guys will look for the same toys as the West. So, as the rest of the world grows wealthy, guys will look for 911's, and those who own the aircooled Porsches will do well. Which is the same reason why quality real estate in major cities continues to rise. |

Come on you guys. Are you really comparing 911 values over time to homes in different parts off the country? Talk about apples to orangutans.

I think if you're going to sell your 911, then get something else that's alot of fun and appreciating. With both cars going up in value, you can fall back into the 911 with less pain.
Or how about moving within the 911 circle? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/832064-1974-carrera-peru-red-turn-key.html
