Smugglers box is illegal in PA and Ohio
So,The PA legislature has followed suit from its neighbor state to the west and declared that concealed/hidden compartments in automobiles are illegal .
That means,I think,You can be arrested if they find you have a smugglers box in the 911.. Furthermore, the police just need to fabricate a justifiable reason to search your car if they suspect a concealed compartment, no search warrant is necessary. Not sure what i think about that.

A smugglers box is not concealed compartment. It's a oem/stock part of the car. That's like calling a glove box or a center console a concealed compartment. I'm sure they are referencing a modified and or a hidden compartment on a vehicle with a intent to deceive authorities.

Yes, the law does not possibly concern factory features of a car. I don't know about you but I don't build my cars from scratch, a factory and a large corporation does.

You do realize that "smuggler's box" is a slang term coined by Porsche owners to describe the front trunk compartment that houses A/C components, right? It really wasn't meant for smuggling, nor was the area in the transmission tunnel used to access the rear shifter coupling.
