How about this fake

Saw a local South Carolina ad for this car...1969 911s. - rusty floors, but mostly all there, blah blah blah but $6500...
Sent a request for more info, the guy says now he has moved to Maine and if we send him the money he will ship us the car. Oh and we have a 5 day right of return.

Uh Huh...

This A$$*ole posted another. I inquired and got the same exact email bs story about it.

1986 Carrera

really pisses me off. But always too good to be true.

this is from "her"......
Hi,
The car is in perfect condition, no accidents/liens/loans. No scratches. I
have all the car manuals, title, documents. I'm selling this car because my
child of only 19 died 4 months ago in a car accident,a drunk driver hit him
and his fiancee. He was with his fiance's car coming to our home at his
little brother birthday of 10 years old. The unit belonged to my son and it
brings me bad memories and that's the reason I want to sell it. I also got
a new job and moved to another city, and many other things have priority
now, so, this car has to go.

If you are interested to buy it let me know soon.
Thanks
Tamara

Deal of the century...send the money. Than is a 100k flip...easy!

Seriously though, you have too much time or too little brains if you respond to ads like those...no offence.

Another case of a real car for sale, but someone has hijacked the photos and description and is attempting to get paid by Western Union or whatever.

The car is real and is for sale by a respected shop in AZ. The Ebay BIN ain't cheap, but if you are "long" on longhoods then it could be a deal. Certainly not a slamdunk deal, which is why no one has stepped up yet. Weenie, what would you peg the value at on this in today's market?

I pegged the market value at somewhat below offers that are currently on the table (just spoke with the seller). I think several people in this forum will be amazed at what the car sells for, but chances are, it will be a "quiet sale" so the number will not be public. Suffice it to say, it looks like the "buy it now" is not out of line.
