Question: 1972 915 gearcase - hold with car or part out?
Wondering if I should sell these parts or hold. Any advice much appreciated!
915 from a chassis was replaced with an aluminum 8:31 electric speedo 915 from a 911SC to accommodate an EFI 3.6 .. wondering if I should hold on to the transmission in case someone in the future wants to return it to stock (I don't have the original case but it might be available in the future, as I know where it is) - These parts are in Northern California Gearcase is from a dirty but 100% rust free 83,600 mile 72 911T chassis in sepia. The chassis is strong enough to be worth returning to stock one day. Dirty so not loved, but I have never seen one more solid and rust free. The conversion was planned before 911T values went through the roof. from actual sales in 2009 on this board: (but no idea if they are worth that much today, or less, or more - I do need to fund the very long list of parts I still need to get) I got the idea from others on the board, and I am currently parting out a BMW K1200RS motorcycle for at least 3X what I could get for it as a whole) 7:31 r&P 1100 1st 450 2nd 300 3rd 300 4th 375 5th 220 drive flanges 110 case 175 nose 100 diff 135 remaining parts 300 total 3565
