Whats a 1976 Targa roller worth?

Friend has a '76 targa in guards red. No motor or tranny. Not sure what its worth as am awaiting pics but seems ok from the couple I have. Any ballpark figures?

Not much for California, it has to pass smog if you resurrect it. If you cut it up to make a profit, I would say no more than a few thousands. Less than $5K for very sure.

prices seem to be all over the place now. Get it as cheap as you feel like its worth to you. IF you put it back together and get it running it will be way more expensive. I know some people who can't afford or just want to get a shell and put different motors in them. There is a market for them just that it will vary per region.

If you have the funds and the car is not full of rust you cannot go wrong if you buy it for under 5k. That is if the interior is in good shape.

Especially if you have a project in mind.

Worst case you could part it out and recoup your money.

I would do the math on all the good parts it has, a complete tool kit is worth 500 bucks or more, if it has sport seats that are in good shape could be around 1K. But condition is the key. If it was stored outside I would be very leery.

I have not seen the car except for 1 picture whereby the car looked ok. I don't want the car at all but if I could buy it super cheap and sell it off I would do that. He just said take it please so I don't know.
