This car has been discussed over on the Early911S reg as well. Someone went to see it and took a few pic's. The car is a poor repaint from light ivory to red, and the support panel between the gas tank and the smuggler's box (including the VIN stamp area) is very rusty, as well as the front pan. The front pan is not tough to replace. The support panel is a lot tougher. Maybe that explains why the car hasn't been bought for $50k yet.

Bankruptcy sale subject to court confirmation. Beverly Hills Car Club has a contract to buy the car at $50k, subject to overbid during the court hearing next week. Qualified bidders need to contact the attorney, sign a bunch of documents and make a good faith deposit by Jan 13 in order to be eligible to bid. The judge will conduct the auction on January 14, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., Courtroom 1345, United States Bankruptcy Court, 255 East Temple Street, Los Angeles, California 90012

after reading this, I just do not see this as a $50k car, pics can be very deceiving. cheap paint jobs might be good for taking pics, but what does the body look like under the paint?

I think the new reality is that this car is worth a lot more than $50k, even if it is hiding nasty surprises under the paint.
