Have you checked the value of the EURO latelly?

I'm surprised this hasn't come out earlier as a market place topic.

The exchange rate is almost 1 to 1 euro/dollar.

Wondering if it's affecting the sales back to Europe.

I remember some pictures posted here of warehouses in NJ ports full of 911s ready to be shipped.

Pound going pretty strong still. But LHD cars not so hot there.

Comments?

Yup the Euro is in the toilet. Read some Goldman Sachs market report chattering about it going below parity. Good time to buy cars and parts. Price of oil helps on shipping too. Can't recall if shipping quotes are denominated in the port of departure or arrival currency but from memory its departure.

Even at parity you will still see strong demand in Europe. Increasing demand by European end users and most are buying to keep not sell back to make a few euros. Generally US cars are in better condition and have less rust issues as well. Go to the impact bumpers web site and you can see the typical rust issues most cars that have spent their whole lives in Europe have.

The Canadian peso isn't doing so well either but not as bad as the Euro thank goodness.
