So What Are Solid Rust-Free Running and Driving 912's Going For?
I have run across a guy with a 1967 912 which is supposed to be all original. Here is a pic (only one I got) can any 912 guys see anything in the pic good or bad? What would be a fair price to offer? Thanks

Wrong mirror. Weird ride height.....like a giraffe on stilts. Is there a motor in her? No side trim under the doors, rubber trim on bumper has shrunk.
There will be rust.......it's a matter of how much. Too little info for a fair price estimate.

Who knows from one picture and no real detail. If relatively intact, and with a matching numbers original engine, maybe around $15-20k. If a rusty hulk underneath, with gutted interior, and missing an engine, but $5-10k Or something in between. SWB 912s are definitely desirable, but it isn't a 356 speedster. The details matter.

It is supposed to run and drive good, less then 100K miles, nice original interior (black) cracked dash, good carpet. I think rear wing is actually a piece of pipe in the background but I can't tell. The car has been in the SW its entire life supposedly, with no rust to speak of. Might be worth a road trip, the guy hasn't said what he wants for it and he wants me to make an offer. I guess I could give him a price range dependent upon condition when I see it.
Are those deep 6's? |

A close friend just picked up a very nice 67 driver for 8k. I honestly think it was the deal of the century and not a good representation of today's market. If it runs, has no rust and just patina id put it around 15k as it sits in the picture. 25K if the wing is indeed real.

i agree with uncle enzo, i think if its a decent driver its worth $15k. definitely still start low, that cracked dash is going to be a pricey fix and I'm sure there are other small areas that will need attention. search hard for rust.
