More like 8 years. That thread was in 2007. Back in the 90's we used to say that all early Porsches were $20000 cars, meaning purchase plus refurbish would equal that as a minimum. You could buy almost any long hood T for less than 20K in that era.

..OK so 8 years. I guess I'll change the subject.
Either way kind of funny when comments of 35K for an MFI 74 carrera and now they are (although probably not getting it) asking 10 x that price. and yes I remember the 10K 73T and a $3,500 3.2 motronic to have an instant very cool hot rod for not much money.

That's weird, I could have sworn that Porsches have always been expensive and the recent price surges won't at all change the face of the owners community.
