Question Did I do the right thing passing on this SC?

I took a look at this SC the other day. It drove fine, no smoke, sounded great, and the gearbox was nice and smooth.

I took it in for a PPI and found a bunch of issues but the largest were that:
-No engine rebuild documented
-Non-original engine (when/where/why it was replaced is unknown)
-Entire car poorly re-painted
-Foam spray in rear driver side wheel well
-Front aluminum suspension crossbar was not level on the car which tells me the chassis might be bent since it bolts directly into the car. One end was about an inch higher into the car than the other.

I passed on it not long after the PPI but I'm starting to second-guess myself.

What do you guys think? Overpriced for what it is?
