1958 356 A Project . Help me decide

I have found a project and looking for a PUSH to do it or the warning to RUN ..

1958 356 A
Coupe. 1600 Normal

Engine and trans installed ...
Parts in boxes. from a restoration started 20 years ago then stalled.

Story is, the engine was "rebuilt" and re installed .
Car was painted and has now got 20 years on it. Looks to be what may have been a "OK" job . it isn't a macco special . but lets say wasn't intended to be a show car job from the start

Seems that the parts are there ... grill nicely wrapped, bumpers there . interior SHOT but actually also in boxes.

The body is really straight and gaps look very good. trunk and engine compartment open and close nicely.
I see NO rust ! I have been around cars / Porsche / 356s and checked the usual places.
The numbers are matching in series ... but not absolute on actual build (can I find that info somewhere ?) Hinges are correct date..
The "coach build plate" is NOT on the vehicle .. so I have engine #, "body # from the trunk) But not the info I think I need to actually know what it is (that may be there in one of the boxes)... also no DMV paperwork.
It HAS been appraised and that value came in at 32.500
My thought / plan now would be to assemble and getting on the road but not over restoring.

Yes / No. make an offer ?
