Hey, this one is pretty nice
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/885825-1966-912-sale.html
I like the car, the classic color combo and the price seems pretty reasonable. Thoughts? |

It is a beautiful looking car: The screws on the seat recliners are rusty! And the recliners themselves seem to have some nicks on them. He also doesn't post the CofA - the seller simply states that there is a CofA and it's matching numbers. I would like to see the options list on the car as well as the paint and interior codes. Lastly, silver really shows well on pics of early 911/912 cars so it might be forgiving some paint blemishes.
Seller doesn't mention if the car is a 4 or 5 speed. Also, the wheels are Fuchs, but are they original 4.5's? there's $5k of parts right there. However, I don't believe that they would have been an option on this car... Again, posting the CofA would clear that up immediately. |

Looks like the Seller saw this thread and has posted the CofA and provided some add'l info. Black is the original interior color and no sport seats and no Fuchs wheels. Both are nice add ons in my opinion and add a lot of value.

Pretty sure that you are right. the sport seats in the 66 912 look to be for a later year (without headrests - headrolls) were first offered in 1967/68. These are certainly valuable seats though and with the seat consoles are probably worth quite a bit to an early 2.0 911S owner...

Curious how a $14K paint job missed the rust next to the plate
