I wonder where the market is now?

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/893798-85-carrera-sunroof-coupe-good-driver-under-30k.html

The seller is a good guy, and a member of our community, and I have no doubt the car is being represented fairly and accurately. I would have thought that for a complete runner in good shape, $30k would be the floor. I guess I was wrong. Wintertime slowdown? Softening market? Too many "personal touches?"

Carfax issue...scares away dealers

Accident history and mods...scares away concours weenies/collectors

Transmission repair required...scares away enthusiast DIY types

I think the car is a great entry point and if I hadn't just bought an '86 I'd be tempted.

I'd add to the above issues, "true miles unknown," not-so-great repaint and no records.

I think it's probably fairly priced for what it is.

Cheers
