Does anyone have Max Hoffmans dealership photos

If I can , I would like to build a replica of Max Hoffmans Manhattan 1st Porsche dealership designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. I have a little private Porsche restoration shop, and I think I have enough room to store my cars and to build this space, including "the ramp". I need more photos if anybody has some so I can get the details right. If you have more info please contact me at : brianvb@me.com . Thank you.

Dude please do it, that would be awesome. I didn't know that it was designed by wright, that's mind blowing. Those were the days!

Never knew that was FLW designed.
Used to pass by there as an MB dealership and was always in awe.

Is it the same Hoffman family that currently owns Hoffman Porsche in Hartford CT?

It would likely be worth a call to them.

This is something the factory MB dealership in NYC should have had removed and carefully reassembled/crafted at the huge building on W54 street. Remember, Max Hoffman was responsible for bringing/US market for the 300SL(and all other MB sales)

Kind of echoes the Guggenheim. Anyone know which FLW designed first?

During same time when Museum was being finished. Don't think FLW saw the finished car showroom since he died near end of museum build. Was the FLW firm that did the showroom.

I had always heard that it turned when Hoffman had the dealership but in the later MB years it did not turn.

the link mentions "Display Turntable" many times and if you look at the photos you can see a gap so that it could turn.....

Thanks for article triplenet. It turned.

I have a 2 story space in front of my Porsche only restoration shop. It's 60' by 40' wide. I think I can make that FLW design work. I'll rip out the second floor. I have to do some changes (kick out current renter). I sure hope I can do it because "you only live once".
