Value on 1972 911T
1972 911T Coupe no sunroof.
Assume number matching needs confirm with coa of course. Color change car. No rust. Good driver. Was nice blue color but now burgundy. Is a 72 car bring extra value since it's only year of oil door ? what you think on low end price ? Thanks in advance. Merry Christmas. !!

I saw one posted on here that was not #'s matching with a 2.7 motor and sold for 34 or 37K. The dealer who purchased it has it listed for 55K. So prices are all over the place. I would say you would pay more for the 72, matching numbers, no rust, and original floors. Biggest fear of course is rust. Some folks do a good job covering it up.
I am always looking for a 72 but am always too late to snag the ones within my budget. |

thanks for all advice.
as for Hagerty value, not really apply to many case, and way off by many cases. this is one case, I still don't think a 1986 930 will sell for average 195k. https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuationtools/1986-Porsche-911-Turbo_930 however some cases they might be much lower than actual car worth, plus, they were way off for 911 prices for many years, and suddenly jump very high...

Maybe I can add something. I'm maybe selling my 72 in the spring. 210k km, ROW car imported to Canada from Germany in the early 80s. It's had SC flares added, the interior redone (new carpet, RS door panels, seats from a mid-80s 944), non-original paint, fibreglass ducktail plus original decklid, S options incl. factory front spoiler, rebuilt tranny, rebuilt Webers, 1982 3.0L engine with maybe 150k miles plus original #s matching engine (needing rebuild), a bit of rust under the battery and a bit on the lower front corner of the passenger seat. So all in all it's got a lot of good and some bad - the biggest drawback in terms of the value is the body modification (flares) - aside from that it could be returned to stock for very little money. The rust repair is pretty easy, and it could use a paint job anyway. It's an ideal candidate for restoration, or to keep driving as-is (which is what I'll do, if I don't sell).
If I were to list it right now, I'd list it somewhere in the mid 60s, expecting to sell in the low 60s.
