Left handed, red haired, ba$tard child of Porsche
This is what Bloomberg News says:
"Hagerty data that combines public auction sales and private sales shows that the 1974-1977 Porsche 911 has increased the most in average sale price of any classic car this year, with a jump of 154 percent in value over 2014. That’s more than anything from Aston Martin, Ferrari, or Lamborghini." I suppose that's because they were the least sought after. |

Isn't it nice to have a vehicle that appreciates. I like all of the years up to '89, could be coaxed a bit later I guess.

The joke is on all of us who these years were un-redeemable. I have always thought the mag. cased engines were the bomb. Yes, these cars are tougher to own but I am not at all surprised to hear they are marching up the value ladder alongside all the rest.

IT isn't the ones with 3.0 motors that are going up in value .

If you are talking about the 3.0 Carrera's they have already gone up.
There is no way they could not have. I don't follow values but limited production numbers, full galvanized body, 930 case and SC flares put them way ahead of the mid years.

Time will tell. My mind is still stuck in 20 years ago so I still don't believe in paying the current market prices for middies. I still look at them as dogs. I just think that their prices were drug upwards due to all the other models becoming unaffordable. I can't get over the price increases that have hit these cars. We used to part these things out and kick the parts around the shop because we were too lazy to put them away. And for the fact they weren't worth much anyways. The good old days of going back and forth with the Ferrari fanatic, him telling me that everybody and their brother has a Porsche. I never liked the look of his Daytona 365 GTB4 anyways. Crappy shifters. LOL RIP Robert my Italian friend.
