Who wants a GT3 RS?
Currently there are 21 991 GT3 RSs on eBay. All colors.

![]() I was cringing a bit when cutting up a trim piece that probably lists for around $2000 while installing a cage and exhaust bypass. Fantastic test drive when finished. ![]()

most 991RS are currently trading at 70-125K over msrp. there are some sold at msrp. but the ones that are re-selling or are actaully in dealer inventory at all 70-125 over. that is not just asking, those are actual selling prices with that insane premium.

For a little more money (couple hundred more?), I'd take a 4.0 over any 991 any time

a sub 5000 miles no story 4.0 is $400-450k now. so it's quite a bit more.
a 10000 mile 4.0 just traded at $380k |

If I win the powerball I'm gonna quietly start hoarding the 4.0s until I have them all.

I would like a reasonably priced 997.2 GT3, and I could care less if a new GT3 is a few tenths (or seconds for that matter) quicker with an automatic than a 6 speed manual. I always thought the 997 GT3's were extra cool just because manuals were mandatory... |

I have all there rs3.8,4.0 and 991rs
991rs is by far the fastest of the three. that said, it's overall merit may still be up for debate. thinking pdk as automatic is wrong. the biggest cristicism of the 991rs is that it is not as involving. well it depends on how fast u are going. it will take a turn at 2x the speed of an air cooled car. at that speed it's very Involving. and of course it will also involve a lawyer to bail u out of jail too reasonably priced rs3.8 lol good luck. to say 4.0 is overpriced at $200000( that's the average msrp with no mark up) really is not right. I don't care which air cooled car u have 73rs 964rs 993rscs 993gt2 once u drive a 4.0 u will want to add it to that collection of Porsche pantheon. it is that good. on paper it has not many differences to the rs3.8. but in real driving, it's not close at all. it's like comparing a 73rs to a 912 and say they are pretty much the same car |

If in 40 years time they still let people drive their own cars, I bet that the 4.0 will be among the top three valuable 911s ever.

For that price in 2016 the RS is a steal. Really, there's not much that can match it performance and/or style wise. The Porsche website is really well done for the RS. The videos are really well done and the driver Brendon Hartley does an excellent job with the journey of the car.
I would be sticker shocked, but in reality it's 2016 and not much can touch it. Probably the best 911 to come out of Germany for 15 years. |

991rs at msrp sure, but no way in hell is it worth 300k+ which is what is being asked.
FWIW, 991 GT3 is about 1-2 secs faster here driver for driver. RS will add to that at least 1 sec. A second is a LOT on a lap. RS needs to be amazing, mooty tells me I need one. I drove 991GT3 and didn't impress. Too disconnected steering feel, stupid fast. And the electronics will make me think i'm a better driver than I am. The thing that scares me on track about these is newer drivers that are flat out hauling ass and the car is doing much of the driving. They are running up against the PSM constantly (my car has none of that) and when they finally DO lose it, they have no idea how to catch the car because they are so far behind it since they've grown so used to the electronics driving the car for them. That makes them dangerous. |
