Yikes indeed. I could potentially use the entire thing as a donor for rear clip and roof clip, and a friend needs the nose clip... but the distance complicates it.

If you are prepared to do the work yourself, you might have a presentable car for less than $100K. For inspiration, look at: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/840815-project-minne-saga-72-a.html

Yes, I’ve met him and even sold him cars. IIRC he and his family are land developers up there in Wyoming. That warehouse where his cars are always pictured is an old Chevrolet dealership.

Thanks! I will be keeping it and doing the work. I am a metal fabricator by trade.

I just finished up my 914, complete longitudinal, wheel house, floors, windshield corners, etc. Time and patience.

I will check out that thread.

His last three auctions went private after I posted suspected shill activities on ESR.

Now, check the "buyer" of those last three private auctions that gave him positive feedback. All the same bidder.

Now, look to see who is the high bidder of his current 911SC auction and look at the bidding history. Same bidder is also bidding up the 69 912,,,

Shyster.

Well, not knowing how close y'all were, perhaps I put my foot in my mouth even after hearing your last story about him. Perhaps you've even shared a few meals together? Not bosom buddies though now I'm guessing right? None of my business mind you, just some comment in regard to your stories about Mr. Wyoming.

What an uninviting place to purchase and/or view a classic Porsche.

If Buffalo Bill were obsessed with turning himself into a vintage Porsche, that would be his den.

I think that car was in the yard at Carquip when I worked there in 2007. I’m serious. I recognize that turd from somewhere.

Ha. In 2007, I bought a complete 72 911 coupe for $5700! It was Light Ivory...

Where's my time machine?

I’m just saying this roller has been passed around like a drunk sorority girl. It’s been sitting a lot longer than 5 years. Just 5 years in current location.

Not the best analogy in this day and age Matt. As a parent of girls it stands out a bit. Otherwise, please continue...

As the father of girls, it’s my goal to teach mine not to do stupid shyte and protect themselves from the Bret Cavanaughs of the world. They are still out there doing what they’ve always done, even in a PC era.

This car has been abused, and molested, and yet still someone still wants sloppy seconds. My comment may be a bit off color, but I think it’s accurate.

Goodness, you got hard core evidence on him in place? He was acquitted and elected! If you talk about seconds, Biden is a good representation. Hunter is thirds, or fourths. Not a virgin among those reps, nor any skills either...

It's wise to equip women to protect themselves against predatory men, but it's a shame that it's so necessary, and not their fault for being drunk at a party. Your comments imply that a woman's value is tied to her chastity, and is therefore diminished via sexual encounters (consensual or not). It's a common trope in the "car community", but it's some stale 20th century "humor" rooted in victim-blaming.

Let's leave women/car metaphors in the past and off a technical forum.
