thanks for you offer but i am not decided to sell them yet , i just wondered what they are worth .... here in Europe a normal very cheep set is around 400 euros with prices up to 1000... but they are all later productions ... so i was just wondering what an erly set could be worth

but thanks for you guide

There are a couple of sets fs on eBay, which you probably have seen. Plus these two on craigslist:

Porsche cookie cutters

Porsche Cookie Cutter Rims with tires in excellent condition

Unless the "numbers matching" / "period correct" mania goes to a whole new level (for mid-year base 911's to boot!) I don't know why early production would command higher prices. In fact, given the mission critical nature I might pay a bit more for later production wheels - just my two cents.......

yes i think they are only interesting to someone having an early 911 1973... also because they are 6x15 and not 7x15 as you often find for the later ones , will follow your advise and check also on ebay to get an idea

Early CC's

Those e-bay listings are for later 7" x 15" CC's.

I am interested in value as well, I have a set of 6" x 15" rims all dated the same month in '72, very early production with the original 3 prong center caps.

I have given up hope of picking up a reasonable long hood and wnet with a later SC, so I may put mine up for sale. Perfect for a LWB T or E...

You are wise to hold on to them, as though a VERY narrow market, to the right person they would be very valuable, cash wise or trade bait wise.

Without a date code, you can't compare the selling price, plus, those aren't magnesium, so the seller didn't know what he actually had, much less what the date codes were. Could be they are later wheels or that someone got lucky and they were early.
These are magnesium Porsche rims (for my 914-6)

that was my point.... i can find here ATS cookies for 400 euros without problems but they are all later productions ... i rarely saw a set 72/73 ones....

now of course for someone who has a 2.7 or SC may be it doesn't matter but for someone who has a 73 E ...

Oh, I did not see you live in Europe....shipping would cost more then my offer.

But the Hershey, PA show had a few sets from $300 or less...they did not sale....Porsche made many of these and early dates or any dates have to in my opinion no more value.
