Mobile PPI in Atlanta
Guys,
I am in the process of purchasing a 1987 911 Cab in Atlanta but I live in NY. Car looks great and I will see the car next week but was wondering if you had recommendations for a mobile pre purchase inspection company or mechanic the could go to the cars location and look it over for me. I wont have a chance to drive it to a shop. Please let me know if you know a respected business or individual that could do this for me. Much appreciated! |

I don't know of a mobile PPI for Porsches. there are mobile services but I think it may be better to have a a regular local pcar shop inspect it instead. where in ATL is the car located? is at dealer, or private party? someone on the board may know the car.

Well yes we do some, but as Tony put it, he "has us inspect the cars that he wants to buy".
![]() I'll say that we are a bit harsh when inspecting a car, but realistic. We focus on the mechanical side and point out all of the major areas of immediate concern and let people know what to expect down the line, with these cars typically unless it is a restored or pristine car it is going to have a pretty good list of needs attached to it. This typically favors the buyer and not the seller in most situations. IMHO honesty is the best policy. If we inspect a car and it is a big pile of crap, it's not my fault. What would be my fault is if we did a crappy inspection and didn't point out major areas of concern, then it makes us look bad. Over what? The cost of a PPI? Not worth it. Good luck with the purchase! J
