1970T with Turbo Fenders: Value

I have a great condition, 7 out of 10, 1970 911T, original silver paint (now black), that had turbo fenders installed up front and professionally installed rear turbo quarters. Interior is missing as is the gearbox and engine. Floors, battery, smuggler box, doors, rockers - just misc surface rust. The doors are not from a 1970T, but appear to be from a later car, probably from the same turbo that donated the quarter panels.

Car was stored for the past 10 years in a barn with a concrete floor. Wheels are aftermarket crap-o-la BBS wanna bes.

As a roller it has all of the suspension components, including brakes, from the 1970T. Dash has small crack and the instruments are not period correct. Instruments are from 1979 to 1984 and in working order. There is no sunroof.

Front and rear bumpers are fiberglass and need to be fixed or replaced due to cracks I also have the original seats. I went through the car with a magnet and did not find bondo or evidence of repair to the unibody.

Ideas on value? If there is enough interest I'll go take some pixs and post them. This is the perfect platform for a 3.6 swap.

Matt, please note the car in the Ebay listing was originally an open field barn find targa converted to a coupe and it doesn't have metal turbo fenders. As such, not a good comparison for value. I'm getting a lot of interest and will be posting some pixs later. This is not the "for sale" forum. I'm just looking for an estimated value for insurance purposes, but if someone comes along with the right price I might be tempted.

It will be tough to find an apples to apples comparison to what you have, but you can interpolate through various sales. Here is a '72 that didn't meet reserve, needs restoration, complete with motor/trans that hit $20,000. 1972 Porsche 911T Project | Bring a Trailer

For someone wanting to back date my turbo fendered car, it's value is zip. But if you are looking for an early 70s 911 with professionally installed turbo fenders, then there is value in this car.

By back date I mean take it back to 1970T specs with narrow fenders.

As much as the fenders, the front bumper has an effect on value. Presuming from the drift of your posts that it is now an impact bumper car, the way the front latch panel was a.) modified or b.) replaced has an effect on value.

Such a car could be made into a 73 RSR look if backdating to long hood/low bumper is less daunting. A good shop can extend the front fenders to fit the low bumper.

Good point Techw. I'll research that and get back to everyone with pixs later. Happy Easter.

I actually purchased a 1970 911T with a fiberglass turbo kit for 12,500. To get it back to the original I purchased 11K worth of front fenders, hood, deck lid, RS quarter panels, S front bumper, and RS rear bumper ends.

Talked to the owner. Gave me a run down on the car. Conversion done properly and its the perfect platform for someone looking to do an outlaw style build. Here are some pics. If only I wasn't still in school

The V8 swap is my little *****. Hands off, lol. It's a 67 912 that was raped. I'm going to send her to rehab. I bought a rebuilt 67 911S engine for her, built out to 2.2 liters and with pauter rods, bump in compression etc and she has a five speed 901 gearbox.

That is a great start on an RSR build. You asked value: easily high teens, and if the pan(s) are not perforated, over $20K. Many details affect the price +/-
