1976 911 3.0 Euro Carrera
owner of a 1976 911 3.0 Euro carrera targa, was wondering what this car is worth. Needs paint but engine runs strong, rebuild has approx 40,000 miles, all original vehicle. Cloth with leather seats, one driver side mirror, ice green paint job a factory color from porsche, etc,etc,etc. Any info would be much appreciated.

Without pictures it could be $40k-60k. A decent Carrera 3.0 Targa sold on eBay recently for $62,000 and it needed work. Excellent condition cars are fetching $80-100,000. I have a '77 Oak Green Carrera 3.0 so I follow the market closely. Painting the car and replacing all the body rubber would be a good investment. Ice Green is a desirable color!

40-60k! wow, the rubber is in fine shape. The car has been garaged and sitting for 10 yrs. It will be running soon and then i will test the market. A good paint job and some cosmetic work on the inside, this car would make someone happy. When i did the rebuild, the original crank was fine, put a new piston cylinder kit with same specs, chain tension kit, has the 7-8 fuchs, factory whale tail with no vent. I remember when i first purchased this car i looked at the seats it had this green and black cloth inserts in the seats and i thought it was ugly, what was Porsche thinking! but i left them in there. I figured if that's how the factory built the car so be it. Do you live in the U.S.?

Don't mind Christian. He thinks anyone with a low post count and a car for sale is a scanner. Just because someone hasn't spent the last ten years hanging out on an internet car forum diesnt mean he isn't real or isn't an enthusiast. Most of us around here will help you without judgment.

I have the same Carrera 3.0, 76 Targa in Silver Metallic. Same as you, I know what I have
 Side by side with my SC, this car is amazing! The engine spins up effortless and has a nice torque band... it's got a lighter chassis and a few extra ponies. With the top off, it's a sweet ride. Top on, just as nice.The car is not for sale. It'd be good to start getting some recent notable sold data on the 76-77 Carrera 3.0 cars. |

The green and blue tartan seat inserts usually bring a premium for other models (e.g. Carrera 2.7 MFI and 930s)...so don't get rid of them.

Euromodel 76, I have the same car as you but a 1977 Icy Green Metallic. I have mine in Southern California (Palm Springs). Recently, a 3.O carrera (Icy Green Metallic) sold in Australia for $64,636 USD. Here is there website: http://********hamilton.com.au/ Look up recent sales.
