I saw that car. It's my color and a targa. Quite interesting really. But way way overpriced. It's a $15-20k roller with a $20k engine in it. He will be lucky if he can get $40k for it.

Even as a core motor it's probably worth $25-30k, if you needed that serial # considerably more. Now if you had a 76 turbo sitting around with a N/A motor - than this could be you cup of tea-

Wayyyyyy overpriced $75k then down to $50k??? A bit of a dreamer. I just sold one the same for $25k. The only value is if you have the matching chassis.

Really? At $25k i normally see sheepers and goofy cars, I would have thought a true sleeper like that would get more love.

I know many folks that would pay $25k for that motor, matching numbers or not. What a decent roller 77 targa chassis is worth, not sure, maybe not $25k.

If that car were a 74 I would be trying to buy it right now around $40k. I love love love it. But it's a 77 and I have no interest in dealing with smog on such a beast.

It is 100% hit and miss in this state. I had to get a retest on my 86 because stupid monkey said it was missing the 2nd O2 sensor. 86 only has 1 O2 sensor.

Tailpipe is key on most cars but you just never know. I'm really happy with my new 74. I don't have to deal with them at all. I just wish it were a targa.

Yeah they have no clue. I failed earlier that week it passed in Golden. Said I had holes in my exhaust and pointed out the 6 holes that go through the heat exhangers for the exhaust studs Also, said it didn't have a cat, but I put Norms muffler on there with the cat its just hidden..made sure to get the historic plates so I don't have to deal with it for another 5 years and hopefully by then I'll have a mountain house to register it at!! Here's hoping

man, some of you guys like to really bash people when you don't have a clue, thought this was a Classy knowledgeable respectful site, but anyways this motor for the right guy looking for one might just need it, they only made 530 and how many are left, the original 76 930 cars are selling north of 250K

I own a similar Jekyll and Hyde targa turbo. Definitely a Smaller market for a modified Porsche because purists don't seem to like them. One really needs to drive one

I own a 1988 g-50 targa with 84 330 h.p. ROWturbo motor. Wow! I dropped my 81' euro sc immediately after driving the car. Targas are fun drivers at any speed and the Turbo just adds to the experience.

45k. Definitely needs the rebuild receipt or a good leak down.

FYI, there's a 76 turbo on here for sale at 148k and it's not flying off the shelf...Maybe your north of 250K remark is a bit ambitious...Tim
