The yellow one has peeling paint - typical for the 76 production. from about number 1000. Mine was 1370.

Always regret not buying this car from the BHCC Spaceballs:

seriously. It is so choice!

christiandk 05-12-2016 10:52 AM

They sell a ton of cars to Europe. And they aren't all roached out. Look at that ice blue metalic middie targa they have at $32,500 right now. That's a solid little car. They are sharks, but as was posted they take a ton of accurate pictures. I almost bought a car from them before I was offered mine.

What's this story I've read about a speedometer broken, but not broken incident you were part of, Christian?

Sir, I appologize for anything I might have said that could have offended you. My remark was brute and very uncalled for. You deserve my deepest respect.

There are a million ads on the Phoenix Craigslist looking for Porsches I guess the guy couldn't wait a day for me to get there and called someone else. Pretty ****ty.

thamlin000 05-13-2016 05:44 AM

What was the asking price?

Sorry been on the road for two days, I would not have haggled with the guy, he had it priced at $15k. Guess I could have made a few bucks but I was really wanting to drive it so I could compare it my 88. Sounds like they are fun to drive.

They are if you keep them on boil. The gearing is basically the same as a 73 RS. With the flat torque curve of the T4, if you keep it above 4500rpm and use momentum toyiur advantage they are plenty fun on country roads. You aren't going to blow by a Dodge Cummins powered duelie on the uphill, but through the flats and on the downhill they hold their own.

Well if you just want to check out a 912E to see what it's like you should come over and drive mine. It's a little taken apart right now but should be on the road next week.

Sounds like a reasonable asking price but I don't think you missed out on a 'great deal'. That's the exact asking price I sold mine for last year.

They are fun around town Not much fun on the highway. Performance-wise, they do everything the same or better than a 911, except accelerate.

Wow , that post count guy is mellow today. He must be hating this thread. No Turbo comments ???? On his behalf : My 930 eats those little 912s and gives 18 bucks change ! And that's US $, not the Canadian peso.

Rawknees'Turbo 07-29-2016 08:59 PM

^^^

A 912 is not even fit for consumption by the Mighty Meatlocker Turbo - chews em' up and spits em' out (followed by a big, nasty, man-style belch, buttofcourse)!!!

Rich Gas 07-30-2016 06:22 PM

Meatlocker! Sounds like my kind of par tay! Mmmmmmm meaty.

I luvs me some RG . . . long time!

Rich, how do 915 gearboxes shift?!?!?!

Rich Gas 07-31-2016 07:08 AM

Hey Ron, mine shifts like butter....so smooth it's like I'm churning a melted batch. Like a slipNslide
with oil, lots of slippery, in every crevasse, oil.

Sean, I see your post count reflects your expertise!? You sir, have become a master of your own domain.
