Today, I had lunch with a mate who owned a factory 2.0L R, a factory ST/RSR prototype….. similar period factory hot rods…... we discussed your car. Our conclusion was your targa is what makes this hobby so much fun…... the creativity…… Your car has a period authenticity that needs to be preserved. It is exactly what the Porsche family was aiming for with these cars and just as valuable as a factory original 68 S Targa in similar condition……
It does seem plausible it was built during the IROC period in the mid-70s. SKM is a pretty good sleuth, he could certainly give pointers given his own impressive 73 RS find and subsequent tracking of its history to birth as documented in Excellence Magazine this year…….
