Nice Car and probably cost a ton to build but wow!

RSR-Style 1969 Porsche 911 Hotrod | Bring a Trailer

Damn nice car! I was watching it and just checked in. ...I didn't think it would go for this high. I thought at 75k it would be a good buy thinking it might creep up to 90k or so.

144K... Wow.

I do not disbelieve in anything. I start from the premise that everything is true until proved false. Everything is possible.

That engine is crazy. Big money for a big money build. Wish it had RSR Fuchs on it.

+1 - why not go all the way with proper Fuchs wheels.

...probably because it has giant brakes, but I didn't scrutinize the listing too closely.

I just read the comments on the BAT site. ...pretty funny. Quite a feverish auction.

I just purchased a pretty nice vintage 914/6 GT build and hell IF I am not thinking of putting it on BAT after this one....

Makes sense - but why have a tribute car with giant brakes and wheels that didn't exist in period?

I would call that a premium buy, but still cheaper than building it yourself.

Personal taste? Improved performance? Car doesn't claim to be a replica. Was advertised as RSR-Style. They still could have put some 17" Fuchs RSR replica wheels on it but the owner didn't want them I guess. It's just shoes. $5k more and the new owner can make the car look "right".

Exactly! never claimed to be a clone, replica etc. 930 brakes and some 15x9&11 fuchs wheels and there you go. ...nothing about 15K or maybe more couldn't fix. In for a penny in for a pound they say.

They are talking about this car in the $100K BaT thread. Pretty much nothing on it is period. It's got a 993 engine. If it was about being anything but a hot rod it would have a 2.8 or 3.0 engine in it. And factory sport seats. And. And.
